A Highter Purpose. A Real Impact.

A Highter Purpose. A Real Impact.

The ERV will help the Red Cross to provide essential aid in the aftermath of fires, earthquakes, and other disasters. This uniquely outfitted vehicle enables trained volunteers to arrive at the scene fully prepared to provide food and relief supplies.

As a bank, we know that we can’t be the first ones to respond after a disaster, but:

We’re committed to supporting those who are.

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the
news, my mother would say to me, “Look for the
helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”

Fred Rogers, host of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood

“A new, next-generation emergency response vehicle will have a tremendous and potentially life-saving impact in our region. We are incredibly thankful to the Red Cross for this wonderful opportunity and their continued support in the communities we both serve. This is just the beginning of our partnership, and we look forward to finding even more ways to help our communities together.”

Kevin J. McPhaill
President & CEO, Bank of the Sierra

“Without generous donations from community partners like Bank of the Sierra, this emergency response vehicle would not be available to serve our neighbors in times of emergency. We are immensely grateful for this support. It allows us to respond efficiently and effectively during disasters such as the recent wildfires around California and around the country.”

Tony Briggs
Regional CEO, American Red Cross

The New ERV is Here!

This state-of-the-art emergency response vehicle will replace an outdated vehicle, so the Red Cross can better help those in need.

  • The new ERV will allow disaster survivors to come inside for assistance, and it will have Wi-Fi and a workspace for volunteers to meet with individuals one-on-one.
  • Expanded serving windows and external lighting will make the vehicle more inviting.
  • The ERV will be better able to handle difficult terrain and will have new safety features.

Bank with a Purpose.

At Bank of the Sierra, we promise to help make every community we’re part of better. Supporting the American Red Cross is one way we do this.

Here’s another: We’re helping to reforest California regions devastated by wildfires by planting a tree each time someone opens an Impact Checking account.
